Hand sculpted vessel, with hand painted black checkers. These sculptures start from the ground up. Carefully they are coil formed, growing little by little, coil by coil. There is no plan for them, and they grow freely, with tender touch. They are held throughout the process. My arms wrap around the forms, making sure their shape offers comfort, and a place to rest your head and heart like you would while embracing a loved one. If you hug these sculptures they will hug you back, if you offer them love, they will love you back.
